
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the CSIR NET Result 2025 for the December session on January 30, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the joint CSIR-UGC NET examination can now access their scorecards and qualifying status through the official website.
The examination was conducted on December 18, 2025, in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across 220 cities in India. It covered five major subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

According to the official press release, a total of 2,12,552 candidates registered for the exam, out of which 1,54,080 candidates appeared.
The data shows a higher participation rate among female candidates.
Females: 1,25,748 registered; 93,193 appeared.
Males: 86,801 registered; 60,886 appeared.
Third Gender: 03 registered; 01 appeared.
Life Sciences recorded the highest number of test-takers, highlighting the intense competition in this field.
Life Sciences: 90,434 registered; 67,032 appeared.
Chemical Sciences: 45,348 registered; 32,957 appeared.
Mathematical Sciences: 37,177 registered; 26,114 appeared.
Physical Sciences: 31,500 registered; 22,533 appeared.
Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean, and Planetary Sciences: 8,093 registered; 5,444 appeared.

The NTA also released the final answer keys alongside the results. Candidates are required to meet a minimum bench mark to qualify:
General/EWS/OBC: 33%.
SC/ST/PwD: 25%.
Qualified candidates will be eligible for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and/or Assistant Professorship, depending on the category they applied for. Successful candidates can also expect their e-certificates to be released on the official portal shortly.
