CTET Exam Date 2026 Announced

CTET Exam Date 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the CTET Exam Date 2026 for the September session. According to the latest notification, the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) will be conducted on September 6, 2026, in offline mode across various examination centres.

Candidates preparing for teaching eligibility examinations can now plan their preparation strategy according to the official exam schedule released by CBSE.

CTET September Exam 2026 to Be Held on September 6

The CTET September Session 2026 examination for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be conducted on a single day in two separate shifts. The examination will be organised in pen-and-paper mode at designated centres across the country.

CTET Paper 1 is conducted for candidates aspiring to teach Classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is meant for candidates seeking eligibility to teach Classes 6 to 8.

  • CTET Notification Release Date: May 11, 2026

  • Online Application Begins: May 11, 2026

  • Last Date to Submit Application Form: June 10, 2026

  • CTET Admit Card Release Date: September 4, 2026

  • CTET Exam Date 2026: September 6, 2026

  • Expected Result Declaration: By the end of October 2026

CTET September 2026 Shift Timing

The CTET examination will be conducted in morning and evening shifts for Paper 2 and Paper 1 respectively.

Shift Schedule

  • Paper 2: 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon

  • Paper 1: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM

Candidates are advised to reach the examination centre well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

CTET Admit Card 2026

The CTET Admit Card 2026 will be released online before the examination. Candidates will be able to download their hall tickets through the official CTET portal using their login credentials.

The admit card will contain important information such as:

  • Exam date

  • Shift timing

  • Examination centre address

  • Reporting time

  • Candidate details

  • Important exam day instructions

Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination centre.

CTET Exam Pattern 2026

The CTET examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will carry 150 marks each.

Candidates qualifying CTET become eligible to apply for teaching positions in various schools across India.
