Latest Update — CUET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key Release Status

The National Testing Agency will release the CUET answer key 2026 anytime soon at cuet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who have appeared for the exam will be able to download the provisional key and response sheet PDF after the release. 

What's confirmed so far:

  • The CUET UG 2026 provisional answer key is expected to be released in the second week of June 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in.
  • A 4-day challenge window will be provided for candidates to challenge the provisional answer key with a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question.
  • The CUET UG result 2026 is expected to be released in the first week of July along with the final answer key.

How to Download CUET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key — Step-by-Step

  1. Visit the official CUET portal: cuet.nta.nic.in
  2. On the homepage, look for the link titled "Provisional Answer Key of CUET (UG) 2026" in the "Latest Updates" or "Public Notices" section
  3. Click the link — you will be redirected to the NTA candidate login page
  4. Enter your Application Number and Password (or Date of Birth)
  5. Enter the Security Captcha and click Login
  6. You will see three downloadable items per subject you appeared in:

How to Challenge the CUET UG 2026 Provisional Answer Key

If you believe an answer in the provisional key is incorrect, you can object to the challenge window. Here's how:

  1. Log in to cuet.nta.nic.in using your application number and password
  2. Click on "Challenge Answer Key" or "Raise Objection" link
  3. Select the Question ID you wish to challenge
  4. Choose the alternative option you believe is correct
  5. Upload supporting academic proof (NCERT textbook page, journal extract) as a single PDF file
  6. Click "Save Your Claim" and proceed to payment
  7. Pay ₹200 per question challenged using the available payment modes
  8. Submit before the deadline — no requests are entertained after the window closes

NTA will revise the answer key and apply it to the responses of all candidates if the challenges made are found to be correct. The result will be prepared based on the revised final answer key. Candidates are not individually informed about the outcome of their objection.

CUET UG 2026 Answer Key — Subject-Wise Coverage

CUET UG 2026 covers a total of 37 subjects, including 23 domain-specific subjects. Candidates were allowed to choose up to a maximum of five subjects, including languages and the General Aptitude Test. The provisional answer key will be released for all subjects attempted by a candidate.
