The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in the final stages of preparing the comprehensive schedule for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026. Aspiring students looking to secure seats in central universities and participating institutions can expect the detailed subject-wise datesheet to be published shortly on the official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.
According to the current NTA timeline, the CUET UG 2026 examination is slated to take place between May 11 and May 31, 2026.
Mode of Exam: The examination will be conducted strictly in Computer Based Test (CBT) format.
Scale of Operations: To accommodate the massive volume of applicants, the test will be held in multiple shifts across numerous centers within India and several international locations.
Strategic Scheduling: NTA is currently organizing the subjects into an efficient timetable to manage the high candidate density across different shifts.
The NTA recently concluded the final phases of the registration process to ensure maximum student participation.
Final Call: The application portal was reopened for a final round from February 23 to February 26, 2026.
Correction Facility: Candidates were previously given a window from February 9 to February 11 to rectify any errors in their submission forms.
Current Status: With the registration and correction phases closed, the agency has transitioned to the allocation of examination centers and the generation of roll numbers for all registered applicants.
Once the official CUET UG 2026 datesheet is live, the NTA will initiate the following pre-exam procedures:
Before the hall tickets are issued, NTA will release an Advance City Intimation Slip. This document is vital for candidates as it informs them of the specific city where their exam center is located, allowing for early travel arrangements.
The official admit cards are expected to be available for download approximately three to four days before the commencement of the examination.
The CUET UG 2026 will cover a diverse range of subjects, including specific domain subjects, languages, and general tests. Candidates are strongly advised to monitor the official portal regularly and download the specific datesheet for each of their chosen subjects to ensure they do not miss their assigned shifts.
