
CUET UG 2026 Photo Mismatch Advisory: National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET (UG) 2026 exam from May 11 to May 31, 2026. The online application process was conducted between January 3 to February 4, 2026, and February 23 to February 26, 2026.
After the completion of the application process, it was observed that some candidates used identity proof documents other than Aadhaar. In certain cases, the live photographs uploaded during registration did not match the records available with UIDAI.
Some candidates may have differences between their uploaded live photograph and identity proof
In a few cases, identity documents other than Aadhaar were used during registration
Minor variations were observed during the verification process
To ensure smooth verification, the National Testing Agency has provided an opportunity for such candidates to confirm their identity by uploading the required certificate.
Candidates facing this issue must:
Upload a signed and attested certificate
Attach a recent photograph certified by an authorized official
Ensure all details match the application form
This step is mandatory for identity verification.
The certificate must be verified by any one of the following:
School/College Principal
Headmaster
Class-I Gazetted Officer (Tehsildar, SDM, DM, Revenue Officer)
Class-I Gazetted Officer of Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates)
Start Date: April 7, 2026
Last Date: April 10, 2026
Candidates must complete the upload within this period using the link shared on their registered email ID.
Certificate must be uploaded in PDF format
It should include candidate details and application number
A recent photograph must be affixed and attested
The attesting authority’s signature must appear partly on the photo and partly on the certificate
A printed copy of the same certificate must also be carried to the exam centre for physical verification.
