CUET UG 2026 Photo Mismatch Advisory: Upload Certificate by April 10, Check Complete Details

NTA has issued an advisory for CUET UG 2026 candidates whose application photo does not match their ID proof. Such candidates must upload an attested certificate with a recent photograph between April 7 and April 10, 2026, and carry a printed copy to the exam centre.

CUET UG 2026 Photo Mismatch Advisory: National Testing Agency will conduct the CUET (UG) 2026 exam from May 11 to May 31, 2026. The online application process was conducted between January 3 to February 4, 2026, and February 23 to February 26, 2026.

After the completion of the application process, it was observed that some candidates used identity proof documents other than Aadhaar. In certain cases, the live photographs uploaded during registration did not match the records available with UIDAI.

Verification Update for Candidates

  • Some candidates may have differences between their uploaded live photograph and identity proof

  • In a few cases, identity documents other than Aadhaar were used during registration

  • Minor variations were observed during the verification process

To ensure smooth verification, the National Testing Agency has provided an opportunity for such candidates to confirm their identity by uploading the required certificate.

Verification Process for Affected Candidates

Candidates facing this issue must:

  • Upload a signed and attested certificate

  • Attach a recent photograph certified by an authorized official

  • Ensure all details match the application form

This step is mandatory for identity verification.

Who Can Attest the Certificate

The certificate must be verified by any one of the following:

  • School/College Principal

  • Headmaster

  • Class-I Gazetted Officer (Tehsildar, SDM, DM, Revenue Officer)

  • Class-I Gazetted Officer of Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates)

Important Dates for Certificate Upload

  • Start Date: April 7, 2026

  • Last Date: April 10, 2026

Candidates must complete the upload within this period using the link shared on their registered email ID.

Certificate Submission Details

  • Certificate must be uploaded in PDF format

  • It should include candidate details and application number

  • A recent photograph must be affixed and attested

  • The attesting authority’s signature must appear partly on the photo and partly on the certificate

A printed copy of the same certificate must also be carried to the exam centre for physical verification.

Annexure: Certificate Format Overview

The certificate must include:

  • Candidate’s name and application number

  • Recent photograph (attested)

  • Declaration confirming photo matches application

  • Name, designation, and signature of attesting authority

  • Official stamp/seal

  • Date and place

Note: The signature of the attesting authority must overlap both the photograph and the certificate.

  • Check registered email for upload link

  • Get certificate signed by authorized official

  • Upload the document before April 10, 2026

  • Keep a printed copy ready for exam day
