COAP serves as a centralized platform for candidates with valid GATE scores to accept offers for MTech admissions at premier institutes and recruitment in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

COAP is not an admission portal itself; it acts as a centralized interface to manage offers from participating institutes. Candidates log in to view their offers and make one of the following decisions:
Accept and Freeze – Accept the offer and finalize it, not waiting for further rounds.
Retain and Wait – Keep the offer while waiting for potentially better options.
Reject and Wait – Reject the current offer and wait for other offers in upcoming rounds.
Important: “Retain and Wait” can only be used twice for the same institute and course.
The portal will conduct 10 rounds starting from May 11, 2026. Here’s the detailed schedule:

Several top institutes are part of COAP 2026, including:
Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs): Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Hyderabad, and more
PSUs also participate, offering jobs and admission opportunities for qualified GATE candidates.
Register and log in to the official COAP portal.
View offers available in the current round.
Choose one of the options: Accept & Freeze, Retain & Wait, or Reject & Wait.
For multiple rounds, monitor updates and repeat the process for new offers.
Apply separately to institutes/PSUs as per individual admission requirements.
Tip: Keep a close watch on offer rounds to avoid missing opportunities. Use “Retain and Wait” strategically in the first rounds if you aim for a better institute or PSU.
COAP 2026 is only for GATE-qualified candidates.
All offers in COAP do not guarantee admission; separate applications to institutes/PSUs are mandatory.
Decisions in early rounds impact later options—plan carefully.
Round 10 will occur only if some institutes continue the offer process after round 9.
