The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced a rescheduling of the CA Intermediate Examination originally scheduled for 3rd May 2026 across India and abroad. The decision comes due to unavoidable reasons, and the exams will now be conducted from 5th May 2026.

The revised schedule applies to both Group I and Group II exams. Students are advised to take note of the new dates and plan their preparation accordingly.

  • 9th May 2026

Group II

Important Points for Students

  1. The exam schedule for other CA examinations like Foundation, Final, and PCC (INTT–AT) remains unchanged as per the previous ICAI announcement dated 12th December 2025.
  2. Candidates are advised to stay updated with the ICAI website www.icai.org for any further notifications.
  3. Ensure all exam preparations are aligned with the revised dates.
  4. Check your exam centre and timing in advance to avoid last-minute issues.

How This Change Affects Candidates

  • Students who had planned their studies around the 3rd May schedule now have an additional two days to revise.
  • This rescheduling provides time for last-minute preparation without affecting other exam plans for CA Foundation or Final.

Official Notification

The rescheduling notification was issued by Anand Kumar Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary (Examinations), ICAI on 6th April 2026. Candidates should refer to the official ICAI website for the detailed announcement and any further updates.
