The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the application window for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 2 for a short period. This decision was taken after several candidates requested another opportunity to submit their application forms or complete the application fee payment.
The registration portal has been reopened only for candidates who were unable to complete the application process earlier. Students who have already successfully submitted their application forms do not need to register again.
Earlier, the online application process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 was open from February 1 to February 25, 2026. After the application window closed, candidates were given a two-day correction window on February 27 and February 28, 2026 to make changes in certain details of their application forms.
However, after the closure of the portal, the National Testing Agency received multiple requests from candidates asking for another chance to apply or complete the fee payment. In response, NTA decided to reopen the application portal for a limited period.
Candidates must note the important dates for the reopened application window:
Application window reopening: March 12, 2026 (Afternoon)
Last date to submit application: March 13, 2026 (9:00 PM)
Last date for fee payment: March 13, 2026 (11:50 PM)
Candidates must complete the registration and fee payment within this period because it is a special extension and may not be provided again.
This opportunity is being provided only for candidates who:
Could not submit the application form earlier, or
Failed to complete the application fee payment before the deadline.
Candidates who have already successfully applied for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 are not allowed to register again. They will also not be permitted to make any changes in their already submitted application forms during this period.
Since this is a special reopening of the portal, no correction facility will be provided after submitting the application form. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all the information entered during the registration process before final submission.
The Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 2 exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode from April 2 to April 9, 2026 (tentatively) at examination centres across India and in selected international cities.
For the latest updates, candidates should regularly visit the official websites of the National Testing Agency and the JEE Main portal.
