The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for admission to undergraduate engineering programs in top institutions such as NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutes. The exam is held in multiple sessions each year, giving students an opportunity to improve their scores. The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 (April session) is scheduled to take place in early April. Candidates appearing for this session should keep track of the important dates related to the exam, including application deadlines, city intimation slips, admit card release, exam schedule, and result declaration.
The JEE Main Session 2 exam includes several key stages such as application submission, correction window, admit card release, and the final examination. Candidates must stay updated with the official timeline to avoid missing any important step in the examination process.
The application process for the April session began in February 2026, and students were given a correction window to make necessary changes in their application forms. The city intimation slip and admit cards will be released shortly before the exam dates.

The city intimation slip for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 is expected to be released in the second week of March 2026. This slip informs candidates about the city where their exam centre will be located.
However, it is important to note that the city intimation slip is not the admit card. It only provides advance information so that candidates can plan their travel and exam arrangements accordingly. Students will need the official admit card to enter the examination centre.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit card will be released three to four days before the exam date on the official NTA website. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards using their application number and date of birth.
The admit card will contain important details such as the exam centre address, exam date, reporting time, and exam-day instructions. Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination will be conducted between April 2 and April 9, 2026. The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at various examination centres across India and abroad.
The exam schedule will be conducted in multiple shifts depending on the number of candidates. After the completion of the exam, NTA will release the provisional answer key, allowing candidates to challenge it before the final result is declared.
Students are advised to regularly check the official NTA website for the latest updates regarding the exam schedule, admit card release, and result announcements.
