The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the photo verification certificate download link for all candidates who have registered for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 using an identity document other than Aadhaar. Non-Aadhaar candidates must download, complete, and submit this certificate to ensure their eligibility for the examination.
The certificate is an important document that needs to be carried to the exam centre along with other mandatory documents. Here’s a complete guide for students to understand the process.
The photo verification certificate is specifically for candidates who applied via non-Aadhaar verification.
Candidates should log in to their JEE Main 2026 account at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
If the upload option for the photo verification certificate is active, students must download, fill out, and submit the certificate before the exam.
Failing to complete this process may lead to disqualification from appearing in the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam.
Follow these steps carefully to ensure compliance:
Log in to JEE Main Portal:
Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and log in using your application number and password.
Download the Certificate:
Click on the link for the photo verification certificate available in your login.
Attach Passport-Size Photo:
Paste a recent passport-size photo in the designated area on the certificate.
Get the Certificate Signed:
Obtain a signature from your Principal / Headmaster / Class-I Gazetted Officer. The signature must partly cover the certificate and partly the photograph.
Upload the Filled Certificate:
Once completed and signed, upload the certificate back to your JEE Main login.
Carry the Printed Certificate:
A print copy of the filled and signed certificate must be carried to the exam centre on the day of the exam for verification.
Ensures the candidate’s identity verification at the exam centre.
Mandatory for all non-Aadhaar-registered students appearing in JEE Main 2026 Session 2.
Prevents last-minute discrepancies or disqualification at the exam centre.
Along with the photo verification certificate, candidates must also check for the city intimation slip:
NTA will soon release the city intimation slip on jeemain.nta.nic.in.
It contains the exam city and date allotted to each candidate.
The JEE Main admit card will be released 3–4 days before the exam date.
Only non-Aadhaar candidates need to complete the photo verification certificate.
Ensure the signature and photo placement follow the guidelines strictly.
Keep the printed copy safe for verification at the exam centre.
Stay updated with official notifications from NTA regarding city slips and admit card release.
