JoSAA 2026 Round 2 Allotment has been released on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Candidates who participated in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process can now log in to their candidate portal to check the institute and programme allotted to them under Round 2.
Students who selected the Float or Slide option after Round 1 can view their upgraded allotment, while candidates who were not allotted a seat in the first round should also check their latest allotment status. Those who remain unallotted in Round 2 will automatically be considered for the next round of counselling without submitting a fresh application.
JoSAA 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result is available through the candidate login on the official portal. Candidates who receive a seat in this round are required to complete the online reporting process within the prescribed timeline.
The reporting process includes seat acceptance, selecting the preferred willingness option (Freeze, Float, or Slide), uploading the required documents for verification, and paying the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). Failure to complete these formalities within the deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Log in using your JEE Main 2026 Application Number and password.
After successful login, view the allotted institute and academic programme.

After accepting the allotted seat, candidates must choose one of the following willingness options:
Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and opt out of further rounds of counselling.
Float: Accept the current seat while remaining eligible for a higher preferred institute or programme in upcoming rounds.
Slide: Retain the allotted institute but seek an upgrade to a more preferred branch within the same institute.
Candidates should select the option carefully, as it will determine their participation in subsequent counselling rounds.
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 2 must complete online reporting, including seat acceptance, willingness selection, fee payment, document upload, and responding to verification-related queries, from June 30 to July 3, 2026.
Any payment-related issues must be resolved by July 4, 2026, while the last date to respond to queries raised during document verification is July 5, 2026.
Candidates who receive a seat should complete all admission formalities within the specified timeline to retain their allotment. Those looking for a better institute or branch can participate in the next rounds by selecting the appropriate willingness option.
Meanwhile, candidates who do not receive any seat in Round 2 will automatically be considered for JoSAA Round 3 based on their filled choices and merit, without the need for fresh registration.
Along with the allotment result, JoSAA will also release the Round 2 opening and closing ranks (cut-offs) for all participating institutes and programmes on its official website. These cut-offs will help candidates assess admission trends for the upcoming counselling rounds.
