The engineering rank list is prepared based on giving equal weightage of 50:50 to the score obtained in the entrance examination for engineering and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry put together.
If a candidate has not studied Chemistry, marks from Computer Science are considered.
If neither Chemistry nor Computer Science was studied, Biotechnology marks are used.
If none of the above three subjects were studied, Biology marks are considered.
The marks of the three subjects shall be computed out of 300 after effecting standardisation in each subject. The marks secured by a student from any board will be standardised with respect to statistical parameters such as Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation.
Candidates who get a minimum of 10 normalised marks in the entrance exam have been qualified for the final merit ranking.
Additionally:
Only candidates who submitted their Class 12 marks within the prescribed window will be included.
Applicants who fail to complete the KEAM marks entry process will not be considered for the engineering rank list.
Candidates who submitted valid documents supporting their category or community claims within the deadline will also find their details reflected in the rank list.
Based on official figures, 1,48,146 candidates had registered for the entrance examinations of KEAM 2026. Out of these, 1,08,409 candidates had applied for admission to engineering courses, while for pharmacy there were 39,737 candidates.
Once candidates get their ranks, they will have to participate in the KEAM counselling process. The dates of the counselling will be announced separately by CEE after the ranks are announced. KEAM CAP 2026 process includes option registration, rearrangement of options if needed, printing the final option list, provisional allotment, final seat allotment result publication, payment of option confirmation fee, and final admission by reporting to the allotted college.
