
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has introduced a major reform called the MP Board Improvement Exam 2026, also known as the Second Examination. This system replaces the traditional supplementary exams and gives students a second chance to improve marks or clear failed subjects within the same academic year.
The exams will begin from May 7, 2026.

The exams will be conducted in a single morning shift across all centers.
The MP Board Improvement Exam is designed for two categories of students:
Students who failed in one or more subjects can reappear for those specific papers.
Students who passed but are not satisfied with their marks can reappear to improve their scores.
This makes the system more flexible and student-friendly.
To apply for MP Board Improvement Exam 2026:
Must be a Class 10 or Class 12 MPBSE student
Must have appeared in the main board exam 2026
Failed or passed students can both apply
Application must be submitted through MP Online
Visit authorized MP Online kiosk or portal
Enter roll number and basic details
Select subjects for improvement or re-exam
Pay required application fee
Submit form within 7 days of result declaration
Take printout for reference
Main result declaration: April 15, 2026 (expected)
Application start: Within 7 days after result
Application last date: 7 days after result
Exam start date: May 7, 2026
