The Madhya Pradesh State Education Center (RSKMP) has officially released the revised timetable for the Class 5 and Class 8 re-examinations for the 2025-26 academic session. This second chance is provided to students who were unable to clear their regular annual exams, ensuring they have an opportunity to progress to the next academic grade without losing a year.
As per the official notification, the MP Board re-exams for both classes will commence on June 16, 2026.
The examinations will be conducted in a single shift to ensure a streamlined process for students across the state.

Class 5 Exam Dates: June 16 to June 22, 2026

The State Education Center has highlighted several important guidelines for the upcoming re-exams:
Holiday Policy: The examination schedule will remain unchanged even if a local or public holiday is declared during the exam period.
Support for Specially-Abled Students: Students with disabilities will be provided with additional time and scribe facilities as per the board's standard regulations.
Language Criteria: For students who took Hindi, Urdu, or Marathi as their first language, English is compulsory as the second language. Conversely, those with English as their first language must appear for Hindi as the second language.
Additional Subjects: The "Additional Language" paper is optional and applies only to those students who have opted for it.
The re-exam (often referred to as the supplementary or special exam) is a critical initiative by the Madhya Pradesh government to reduce dropout rates. Under the current educational policy, students in Classes 5 and 8 who do not pass the yearly examinations are given a remedial period followed by these re-exams. This provides a fair chance for students to improve their performance and secure promotion to the next class.
