NEET UG 2026: Important Dates to Remember

Mark your calendars! The NTA has provided a strict timeline for the 2026 session.

  • Registration Start Date: February 8, 2026

  • Last Date to Apply: March 8, 2026 (up to 09:00 PM)

  • Last Date for Fee Payment: March 8, 2026 (up to 11:50 PM)

  • Correction Window: March 10 to March 12, 2026

  • Exam Date: May 3, 2026 (Sunday)

  • Exam Timing: 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM (IST)

Courses Covered Under NEET 2026

A qualifying score in NEET (UG) 2026 is mandatory for admission to:

  1. MBBS & BDS (Medical & Dental)

  2. AYUSH Courses (BAMS, BUMS, BSMS, BHMS)

  3. BVSc & AH (Veterinary Science)

  4. Military Nursing Service (MNS): Aspirants for the 4-year B.Sc. Nursing course at AFMS Hospitals must now qualify via NEET.

How to Apply Online: Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps carefully on the official portal, neet.nta.nic.in:

  1. Registration: Visit the website and click "New Registration." Enter basic details like name, mobile number, and email. Generate your Application Number.

  2. Application Form: Log in with your new credentials. Fill in academic qualifications (Class 10 & 12 details) and choose your preferred exam city and question paper medium (available in 13 languages).

  3. Document Upload: This is the most critical stage. Ensure your files meet NTA specifications (see below).

  4. Fee Payment: Pay the fee online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.

  5. Confirmation Page: Once payment is successful, download and print the Confirmation Page. Your application is not complete without it!

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Aadhaar Mismatch: Ensure your name and date of birth in your Aadhaar card match your Class 10 certificate exactly.

  • Duplicate Applications: Do NOT submit more than one application. Multiple forms will lead to disqualification.

  • Invalid Contact Info: Use your own or your parents' email and mobile number. All official alerts, including admit card and result links, will be sent here.

  • Photo Background: Use a white background. At least 80% of your face must be visible, and ears must be clear.
