The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 results today, February 16, 2026. With anticipation at an all-time high, a major concern for students is navigating the sea of links to find the authentic NTA JEE Main result link.
Distinguishing between the official NTA portals and unofficial third-party websites is crucial for protecting your personal data and ensuring you receive an authentic JEE Main 2026 scorecard download.
On the result day, search engines and social media are flooded with "Direct Link" claims. However, relying on unofficial websites can lead to several risks:
Data Security: Unofficial sites may require your JEE Main candidate information (Application Number and DOB), which can be misused.
Inaccurate Information: Third-party sites often host "leaked" or "dummy" results that do not reflect your actual NTA percentile.
Malware Risks: Many unofficial links are bait for ad-trackers or harmful downloads.
jeemain.nta.nic.in (Dedicated JEE Main portal)
nta.ac.in (Main NTA corporate website)
ntaresults.nic.in (NTA’s specialised results server)
While the official JEE Main results release date is February 16, the NTA typically activates the link in the evening, often around 6:00 PM IST. Due to heavy traffic from millions of users, the official website may experience occasional slowdowns. If the page doesn't load, stay calm and avoid jumping to unofficial mirrors; simply wait 10-15 minutes and refresh the official site.
To ensure a smooth experience, follow these verified steps once the JEE Main 2026 results are live online:
Visit the Official Portal: Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Locate the Link: Click on the tab "JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Scorecard."
Enter Credentials: Provide your Application Number and Date of Birth (or Password).
Security Pin: Enter the case-sensitive CAPTCHA code shown on the screen.
Submit & View: Click on "Submit." Your result will appear on the screen.
Print & Save: Download the PDF and take 2-3 printouts. This document is mandatory for JoSAA/CSAB counselling.
The NTA exam results are presented as NTA Percentile Scores rather than raw marks to account for the varying difficulty levels across shifts. Your scorecard will include:
Subject-wise NTA Scores: Individual percentiles for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
Total Percentile: Your aggregate performance across all three subjects.
Candidate Details: Name, Category, Roll Number, and Parent's Name.
Important Note: The All India Rank (AIR) and Final Cut-off for JEE Advanced will only be released after the conclusion of Session 2 (April).
Prepare for the Next Step: Regardless of your score, please note that Session 2 is scheduled for April 1 to 10, 2026. Use the Session 1 result as a diagnostic tool to strengthen your preparation for the next attempt.
