The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced important changes regarding examination centres and dates for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2, ensuring convenience and fairness for all candidates. Aspirants can check their updated information and login credentials on the official website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in.
NTA has considered multiple factors and requests from candidates to make adjustments to the exam schedule. The key reasons include:
Due to ongoing conflicts in the region, many candidates requested a change in their examination centres. NTA has revised the allotted centres for these candidates to ensure their safety and smooth conduct of the exam.
Some candidates requested via email to reschedule their exam as it coincided with Easter celebrations on April 5, 2026. NTA has accommodated these requests and revised the examination dates accordingly.
To prevent scheduling conflicts between JEE Main 2026 Session 2 and Class XII Board exams, NTA coordinated with CBSE. Candidates appearing for both exams were asked to provide their CBSE registration/roll numbers in the JEE application form. Using this information, NTA scheduled their exam dates to avoid clashes.
Moreover, candidates who requested changes due to other competitive exams were also considered, and their exam dates were adjusted where feasible.
These revisions ensure that all candidates have a fair and convenient testing experience. By considering regional conflicts, festival schedules, and other exam clashes, NTA aims to maintain a smooth and hassle-free examination process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 aspirants.
