The Re-NEET UG 2026 exam was held on June 21, 2026, in offline (pen-and-paper) mode after NTA cancelled the original May 3, 2026 exam over paper-leak allegations.
Around 20 lakh candidates appeared for the re-examination, as reported by national media.
NTA released the provisional answer key on June 25, 2026, along with question papers and OMR response sheets, for booklet codes 50, 60, 70, and 80.
The objection/challenge window remained open from June 25 to June 28, 2026, with a challenge fee of ₹200 per question.
NTA released the OMR response sheet again on July 13, 2026, allowing candidates a further opportunity to review their responses.
The final answer key and result date have not yet been officially notified. Media reports citing NTA sources indicate the result may be declared by July 20, 2026, but candidates should treat this as an expected timeline until NTA confirms it on neet.nta.nic.in.
