The collaboration brings together two complementary strengths. MBU contributes its academic environment, degree programmes, campus infrastructure and faculty, while PW Skills brings an industry-oriented curriculum, practical learning experiences and career-readiness support.
Together, the two organisations aim to create a learning ecosystem in which students can develop relevant technical capabilities alongside their formal education.
A defining feature of the partnership is its focus on integrating skill development into students' academic journey rather than treating it as an entirely separate learning activity.
PW Skills is positioned as the practical knowledge partner, bringing structured learning pathways, industry exposure, real-world projects and contemporary tools into the proposed programme. MBU serves as the on-campus academic hub, providing students with the university environment, faculty support and classroom experience.
This complementary model is designed to connect conceptual understanding with practical application. Students would have opportunities to learn technical concepts, apply them through structured exercises and projects, and build capabilities relevant to their chosen fields.
The proposed programme is also designed with potential academic credit integration in mind, with the precise mapping to MBU's degree credits subject to institutional confirmation.
The proposed programme covers four specialisations:
Data Analytics and Data Science: Building capabilities in Python, data handling, statistics, exploratory data analysis, machine learning, MLOps, deep learning and generative AI.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Progressing from Python and mathematical foundations to deep learning, MLOps, generative AI, agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation and LLMOps.
Full Stack Development: Covering web development fundamentals, JavaScript, frontend engineering, backend development, databases, APIs, Next.js and DevOps.
Digital Marketing: Exploring digital consumers, content, SEO, generative engine optimisation (GEO), performance marketing, paid media, analytics and automation.
Data Analytics and Data Science, AI and Machine Learning, and Full Stack Development are also designed to include a common Data Structures and Algorithms component. Interview Preparation is planned as a shared component across all four tracks.
The proposed delivery model uses two educators in every class. A PW Skills instructor would conduct live online sessions, with recordings made available through the learning management system. An assistant faculty member, trained by PW Skills, would be present on campus to support students, resolve doubts and maintain classroom accountability.
The broader engagement framework includes academic support, technology and infrastructure, student development, career and placement readiness, and reporting and governance.
Planned support includes assessments, progress reporting, student feedback, bootcamps, resume and portfolio development, mock interviews, LinkedIn optimisation, soft-skills development and an AI Interview Coach.
The PW Skills–MBU collaboration represents an approach to higher education that places practical capability alongside academic learning.
By bringing together MBU's university environment and PW Skills' industry-oriented learning ecosystem, the partnership aims to create a more connected pathway from education to professional readiness.
