
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially released the revised exam schedule for the 1st Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT-I) for Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts under CEN 05/2025. This update follows a change in the previously announced dates, shifting the final exam day from March to February to streamline the recruitment process for over 25 lakh candidates.
Aspirants can now access their Exam City & Date Intimation Slip through the official regional RRB websites to plan their travel and logistics.
According to the latest official notice, the RRB JE CBT-1 examination will now be conducted on three specific dates in February. The exam on March 3rd has been rescheduled to February 25th.

The RRB JE CBT-1 will be a 90-minute examination conducted in three shifts each day. PwBD candidates with scribes will be entitled to a total of 120 minutes.
Shift 1: 09:00 AM to 10:30 AM (Reporting: 07:30 AM)
Shift 2: 12:45 PM to 02:15 PM (Reporting: 11:15 AM)
Shift 3: 04:30 PM to 06:00 PM (Reporting: 03:00 PM)

The City Intimation Slip was released on February 10, 2026. This slip contains your assigned exam city, date, and shift but is not your final admit card.
Visit Regional Website: Go to your respective RRB regional portal (e.g., rrbcdg.gov.in).
Click Official Link: Find the link titled "CEN 05/2025: Link for viewing Exam City & Date".
Login: Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth (User Password).
View & Download: Your exam city and date will appear on the screen. Download and save the PDF for reference.
The official E-Call Letters (Admit Cards) will be available for download 4 days prior to your specific exam date mentioned in the city intimation slip.
For Feb 19 Exam: February 15, 2026 (Expected).
For Feb 20 Exam: February 16, 2026 (Expected).
For Feb 25 Exam: February 21, 2026 (Expected).
RRB has emphasized strict security protocols for the 2026 exams. Candidates must undergo Aadhaar-linked biometric authentication at the exam center prior to entry.
Required Document: Bring your original Aadhaar Card or a printout of your e-verified Aadhaar.
Aadhaar Status: Ensure your Aadhaar is in an unlocked condition in the UIDAI system before arriving to facilitate smooth entry.
ID Proof: In addition to the e-call letter, a valid original photo ID proof is mandatory.
Total Vacancies: 2,585 (Increased from 2,569).
Selection Process: CBT-1, CBT-2, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
Marking Scheme: Negative marking of 1/3rd for every incorrect answer in CBT-I.
