You can estimate your score before the result using the RRB Technician marking scheme:
The Computer Based Test is for 100 marks.
Each correct answer carries +1 mark.
Each wrong answer carries ⅓ mark negative marking.
Unattempted questions carry no penalty.
Use the official answer key and your response sheet to calculate the expected score:
Count your correct answers by comparing your responses with the key.
Count your wrong answers.
Apply the formula.
Expected score = (Correct answers × 1) − (Wrong answers × ⅓)
Example
| Particulars | Calculation | Marks |
| Correct answers | 70 × 1 | 70 |
| Wrong answers | 15 × ⅓ deducted | −5 |
| Expected score | 70 − 5 | 65 |
This is an estimate based on the provisional key. The final score can change if RRB revises any answers after the objection window closes.
Candidates who find an error in a provisional answer can challenge it through the RRB Technician answer key objection link. Objections are accepted online from 15 October 2026 to 21 October 2026.
