The Junior Engineer recruitment process consisted of multiple stages before the declaration of the final result.
SSC declared the Paper I Result on 6 March 2026, through which 15,607 candidates qualified for the next stage. The Paper II examination was conducted on 7 April 2026, and 14,062 candidates appeared in the examination.
After Paper II, SSC invited shortlisted candidates to submit their option-cum-preference forms from 10 June to 14 June 2026. Based on candidates' merit and submitted preferences, the Commission has now released the First Round Tentative Allocation.
The Commission has confirmed that the SSC JE Final Result 2025 has been prepared using the final answer keys.
All objections received against the provisional answer keys of Paper II were examined carefully. After making the required corrections, SSC prepared the final answer keys, which were used to evaluate candidates and prepare the merit list.
The final merit has been prepared considering:
Marks obtained in Paper I
Marks obtained in Paper II
Normalised scores
Option-cum-preferences submitted by candidates
Reservation policy
Sliding mechanism introduced by SSC
SSC has applied the prescribed normalisation process while preparing the final merit list.
The Paper I marks were normalised using the formula notified by the Commission on 2 June 2025.
For posts common to Mechanical and Electrical Engineering candidates, the Commission also normalised the Paper II scores because separate question papers were conducted for both streams. This ensured fairness while preparing the common merit list and determining the final allocation.
