Exam Pattern at a Glance
This June session is especially significant for serving Telangana teachers. The Supreme Court in its verdict mandated all teachers, except those with less than five years of service, to clear the TET within two years to retain their jobs. The court recently extended the TET qualifying period to three years, giving in-service teachers time to pass the test by August 31, 2028. Teachers with less than five years of service must pass the TET to become eligible for promotion
Among the total 1,36,418 applicants for this session, 28,149 are government in-service teachers, comprising 13,714 men, 14,430 women, and five transgender candidates.
Following the conduct of the exam, here is what candidates can expect:
Answer Key Release (Expected): The provisional answer key for both Paper I and Paper II is expected within a few days of the exam concluding. Candidates can challenge incorrect responses by paying an objection fee of ₹200 per question.
Final Answer Key: After reviewing valid objections, the final answer key will be published. The result will be prepared based on this.
Result Declaration (Not Yet Announced): The TG TET qualifying certificate is valid for a lifetime unless changed by the government. Qualified candidates can apply for various teacher recruitment notifications in Telangana. The TET score carries 20% weightage in teacher recruitment exams conducted by the state.
TET Pass Memo: Qualified candidates will receive a TET Pass Memo issued by SCERT Telangana, which must be preserved for future DSC and other recruitment processes.
Important: Clearing TS TET does not guarantee a teaching job. Candidates must still qualify in recruitment exams like DSC and meet eligibility criteria set by the recruiting authority.
