About UP CNET 2026 — Exam Overview

The UP CNET 2026 examination is held in offline (pen and paper) mode. The total exam duration is 140 minutes for 120 questions. Students are required to mark answers on an OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen. The paper has five sections, each comprising 24 questions, covering Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Nursing Aptitude

If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, inter-se-merit will be determined as follows:

• Higher marks in Biology section
• Higher marks in Chemistry section
• Higher marks in Physics section

Through CNET 2026 counselling, seats are offered at all government and private nursing colleges affiliated to ABVMU Lucknow, SGPGIMS Lucknow, KGMU Lucknow, RMLIMS Lucknow, UPUMS Saifai, and LLRM Meerut

The conducting authority announces the CNET 2026 counselling and admission schedule for admission to the 11,610 BSc Nursing seats across various government and private nursing colleges in Uttar Pradesh. 

There are around 250 government and private colleges in UP that offer the BSc Nursing programme, out of which 23 colleges are government nursing institutes.
