Chhattisgarh Staff Nurse Selection Process 2026
The Chhattisgarh Staff Nurse selection process 2026 for Staff Nurse and Community Health Officer posts involves several stages designed to identify the most suitable candidates. This typically includes a screening process, document verification, and potentially a skill-based test.
Screening: Based on the number of vacancies, eligible applicants from the merit list will be shortlisted for document verification, written exam, computer-based test, or clinical skill-based test. For 1 to 10 advertised posts, 10 times the total posts will be screened. For 11 to 50 advertised posts, 5 times the total posts will be screened.
Claims/Objections: Claims and objections will only be accepted for qualifications and documents that existed before the advertisement date. Newly issued documents after the advertisement date will not be considered.
Document Verification during Test: Shortlisted candidates must bring all original documents mentioned in their application at the time of the Clinical Skill Based Test. Failure to present original documents will lead to disqualification.
Registration: A live and permanent registration with the relevant Nursing/Paramedical Council is mandatory. Candidates without a live registration certificate will be considered ineligible.
Score Calculation (for posts 01 to 03): The final score will be calculated based on 65% of the marks obtained in the minimum educational qualification, 20 marks for the Skill/Written Test/Interview, and 10 or 15 marks for experience.
Skill Test Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% in the skill test to qualify. Failing to achieve this will result in disqualification.
Merit List Preparation: A merit list will be prepared by combining marks from educational qualifications, skill test scores (if qualified), and experience marks. A provisional selection list will be published, which will become final if no errors are found.
Experience Certificate: Only experience relevant to the advertised post will be valid. NHM Chhattisgarh employees will receive 3 marks per year (max 15 marks), while others receive 2 marks per year (max 10 marks). Only experience certificates from government, semi-government, and government-funded institutions will be accepted. Experience without clear duration or dispatch number will be invalid. Experience less than 12 months in one institution will not be counted. Appointment order number and date must be on the certificate.
COVID-19 Bonus Marks: An additional 10 bonus marks will be given to temporary health workers who served for 6 months during the COVID-19 pandemic in Chhattisgarh state government health institutions. This bonus applies only if valid appointment and experience certificates are provided. Candidates will receive marks from either experience or COVID-19 bonus, whichever is higher.
Tie-Breaking: In case of equal marks, older candidates (based on birth date) will be given preference.
Waiting List: A category-wise waiting list, valid for one year or until a new recruitment process, will be published. This list can fill new approved posts or vacancies. The waiting list will include up to 200% of candidates for 1-25 posts and 150% for 25-50 posts.
Other Conditions: All posts are purely contractual. The number of vacancies may be decreased, increased, or canceled by the selection committee.
