Candidates should meet the GSSSB Staff Nurse Eligibility 2026 as mentioned in the official notification. It includes the educational qualification and age limit. Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. (Nursing) degree from a recognised university or institute recognised by the Gujarat Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council; OR

• Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) from a recognised institute.

• Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services rules.

• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi language or both.

• Candidate must register with Gujarat Nursing Council before final appointment.

• Minimum Age: 18 years

• Maximum Age: 35 years

Upper Age Relaxation

• General Women Candidates: 5 years (Up to maximum 40 years)

GSSSB Staff Nurse Selection Process 2026

GSSSB Staff Nurse Selection Process 2026 consists of a competitive written exam followed by document verification.

1. Written Examination: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) format test comprising two papers:

• Paper 1 (Nursing Subjects): 100 marks (2 hours duration).

• Paper 2 (Gujarati Language, Grammar & Literature): 100 marks (2 hours duration).

2. Qualifying Marks: Candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks independently in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

3. Negative Marking: 1/4th (0.25) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

4. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates based on combined merit will be called for document verification.

GSSSB Staff Nurse Salary 2026

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly salary during their initial 5 years of service. 

• Fixed Salary (First 5 Years): ₹40,800 per month.

• Regular Pay Scale (After 5 Years): Pay Level-5 (₹29,200 – ₹92,300) upon satisfactory completion of 5 years of fixed service.
