To be eligible for B.Sc. Nursing admission at IGIMS Patna, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
Gender & Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen and a female candidate.
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 / Senior School Certificate Examination / Intermediate Science or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from a recognized Board or University.
Candidates must pass individually in all four required subjects.
Entrance Qualification: Candidates must have appeared in NEET (UG) - 2026.
Minimum Cut-Off Percentile: General / UR candidates must secure at least the 50th percentile in NEET (UG) - 2026.
SC, ST, and OBC candidates must secure at least the 40th percentile in NEET (UG) - 2026.

Candidates should complete the offline application process using the following steps:
Step 1: Download the current year's application form from www.igims.org.
Step 2: Fill in all fields completely in block letters using your own handwriting.
Step 3: Affix a self-attested passport-size photo bearing the candidate's name and photo-taken date printed on it.
Step 4: Purchase an original Demand Draft (Rs. 1,500 for UR/EWS/BC/EBC/WBC or Rs. 1,000 for SC/ST) payable to "Director, IGIMS, Patna".
Step 5: Attach self-attested photocopies of 10th mark sheet & passing certificate, 12th mark sheet & passing certificate, NEET UG-2026 Admit Card, NEET UG-2026 Score Card, Domicile certificate, and Caste certificate (if applicable).
Step 6: Dispatch the application packet to "Office of the Dean (Academics), Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sheikhpura, Patna - 800014 (Bihar)" via Speed Post, Registered Post, or Courier before the deadline.
The selection and allotment process involves the following stages:
Provisional Merit List: A provisional merit list based on NEET (UG) - 2026 scores is published on www.igims.org.
Objection Clearance: Candidates are given a scheduled day to resolve any deficiencies or objections.
Counseling: Counseling takes place offline at the 2nd Floor Auditorium Hall, IGIMS Campus, Patna based on Merit-cum-Choice.
