• B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic): August 16, 2026 (Sunday) and time 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Test Centres

The entrance exams will take place at specific district headquarters:

• For B.Sc. Nursing (Basic): Ranchi, Bokaro, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Dumka, Palamu, and Hazaribagh.

• For B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic): Ranchi only.

Candidates must check the JCECEB Jharkhand BSc Nursing 2026 Eligibility to make sure they are allowed to apply for the courses:

1. B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) Course

• Age Limit: The minimum age must be 17 years as of December 31, 2026.

• Educational Qualification:

• The student must pass Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English.

• The student must score at least 45% marks in total from a recognized school board like CBSE, ICSE, or other state boards.

• Students passing Class 12 Science from the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with 45% marks can also apply.

• Health: The candidate must be physically and medically fit.

• Residency: Local residents of Jharkhand get preference. Students from other states will only be considered if seats remain vacant after counseling Jharkhand candidates.

2. B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) Course

• Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognised board.

• Candidates who passed the 10+1 class in or before 1986 are also eligible.

• Professional Registration:

• Candidates must have a valid General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) certificate.

• They must be registered as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.) with the State Nurses Registration Council.

• Male Candidates Rules:

• Male nurses who trained before the integrated course was introduced need to show proof of special training approved by the Indian Nursing Council.

• This training should be of equal duration in areas like OT Techniques, Ophthalmic Nursing, TB Nursing, Community Health Nursing, or Psychiatric Nursing.
