JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Pattern consists of two papers- Paper-I for most courses, and Paper-II for the BHA course. Candidates can choose to appear for one or both papers. The exam includes 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in each paper, lasting 1.5 hours with a total of 115 marks per paper. The questions are available in both English and Bengali, and negative marking applies only to Section A.

The marking scheme includes 1/4 negative marking for incorrect answers in Category 1 (Single Correct Answer) questions, while Category 2 (Multiple Correct Answers) questions have no negative marking. JENPAS UG 2025 Marking Scheme

This is a very important section. You need to know how marks are given. The JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Pattern and its marking scheme are different for each question category.

Category 1 (Single Correct Answer)

  • For a correct answer, you get 1 mark.

  • For a wrong answer, 1/4 (0.25) marks are taken away. This is called negative marking.

  • If you do not attempt the question, you get 0 marks.

Category 2 (One or More Correct Answers)

  • For a fully correct answer, you get 2 marks.

  • A fully correct answer means you have marked all the correct options and no wrong ones.

  • For any other answer, you get 0 marks.

  • There is no negative marking in this category.

The JENPAS UG 2025 Negative Marking rule is simple. It only applies to Category 1 questions. For these questions, if you mark a wrong answer, you lose marks. For every wrong answer, 1/4 of a mark is deducted. This means four wrong answers will take away one full mark. You should be careful when answering these questions. There is no negative marking for Category 2 questions.

JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Mode and Language

The exam is conducted in offline mode. This means it is a pen and paper test, which is a key part of the JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Pattern. You will use a blue or black ballpoint pen. You must fill in the bubbles on the OMR sheet. You must darken the entire circle. The exam paper is bilingual. It will be available in both English and Bengali.

JENPAS UG 2025 Evaluation Method

The exam sheets are evaluated by a machine. This is an Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) method. The machine checks your answers according to the JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Pattern. You must fill the bubbles correctly. Any wrong way of marking, like a cross or a tick, might not be read. If the machine cannot read your answers, you get no marks.
