JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Pattern, Marking Scheme, Tie Breaking Criteria

JENPAS UG 2025 Exam Pattern consists of two papers- Paper-I for most courses, and Paper-II for the BHA course. Candidates can choose to appear for one or both papers. The exam includes 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in each paper, lasting 1.5 hours with a total of 115 marks per paper. The questions are available in both English and Bengali, and negative marking applies only to Section A.

The marking scheme includes 1/4 negative marking for incorrect answers in Category 1 (Single Correct Answer) questions, while Category 2 (Multiple Correct Answers) questions have no negative marking. The total marks for the exam are 200, and the admission process is based on a General Merit Rank (GMR) for Paper-I and BHA Merit Rank (BMR) for Paper-II. 

The JENPAS UG 2025 exam, organized by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB), is designed for students pursuing nursing and other medical courses. The exam is scheduled for October 18, 2025, and results will be available in October 2025.

Category 1 (Single Correct Answer)

• For a correct answer, you get 1 mark.

• For a wrong answer, 1/4 (0.25) marks are taken away. This is called negative marking.

• If you do not attempt the question, you get 0 marks.

Category 2 (One or More Correct Answers)

• For a fully correct answer, you get 2 marks.

• A fully correct answer means you have marked all the correct options and no wrong ones.

• For any other answer, you get 0 marks.

• There is no negative marking in this category.
