JENPAS UG Marking Scheme 2027

The JENPAS UG marking scheme is divided into two categories. Understanding the difference between these categories is important because incorrect answers can affect the final score.

  • Category I: Each correct answer carries 1 mark.

  • Category I negative marking: An incorrect answer results in a deduction of one-fourth of the marks allotted to the question.

  • Category II: Each correct answer carries 2 marks.

  • Category II negative marking: There is no negative marking for an incorrect answer.

  • Candidates should follow the instructions mentioned in the official question paper.

The marking scheme makes accuracy important, particularly while attempting Category I questions.

How to Prepare According to the JENPAS UG Exam Pattern 2027?

Understanding the exam pattern is only the first step. Candidates should use it to create a practical preparation strategy.

1. Understand the Weightage

Start by checking how many questions and marks are assigned to each subject. Give more preparation time to subjects that carry higher weightage or require more practice.

2. Practise MCQs Regularly

Since the examination consists of objective-type questions, solve multiple-choice questions after completing each topic. This can improve speed and help identify weak areas.

3. Take Mock Tests

Attempt full-length mock tests within 90 minutes. Analyse incorrect answers after every test instead of simply checking the score.

4. Be Careful With Negative Marking

Avoid guessing blindly in questions where negative marking applies. Read each question carefully and attempt it only when you are reasonably confident about the answer.

5. Improve Time Management

Do not spend too much time on one difficult question. Move ahead and return to challenging questions if time permits.

The JENPAS UG Exam Pattern 2027 gives candidates a clear idea of how the examination is structured and how marks are awarded. Knowing the paper-wise subjects, question distribution, duration, and marking scheme can help students prepare in a more organised way.

Candidates should also keep checking the official WBJEEB website for the final JENPAS UG 2027 notification, as any changes to the exam pattern will be confirmed by the conducting authority.
