OSSSC Nursing Officer Tie-Breaking Criteria

In cases where two or more candidates obtain the same marks in the written examination, OSSSC applies the following tie-breaking criteria in the specified order:

  1. Candidate with fewer wrong answers in the written examination will be ranked higher.

  2. If the tie still persists, the candidate with higher marks in the required Nursing qualification will be given preference.

  3. If the tie remains unresolved, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.

  4. If candidates are still tied, the candidate with higher marks in the Higher Secondary (+2) examination will be ranked higher.

Candidates should keep these criteria in mind, as they can significantly impact the final merit position when scores are identical.
