UP NHM Eligibility Criteria: Quota Reservation
- Reservation Rules: Candidates who are original inhabitants of Uttar Pradesh (domicile of Uttar Pradesh only) will be provided reservation as per applicable rules.
- Non-Domicile Candidates: Those without Uttar Pradesh domicile will be considered under the Un-reserved category and should apply as such.
- Gender-Specific Positions: Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) position. For the Staff Nurse position, as per The GoUP Gazette number 622/paanch-8-2016-N(92)-86-TC 1 dated 11-02-2016, 90% of vacancies are reserved for female candidates and 10% for male candidates.
- Document Submission: Relevant required documents must be uploaded at the time of online application submission.
- Certificates for OBC (NCL) and EWS: Candidates belonging to OBC (NCL) and EWS categories must provide the necessary certificates issued by a competent authority at the time of Document Verification Process (DVP). The certificates should be in the attached format (Annexure-1 & 2) and not older than 01.04.2022.
- Caste Certificates for Female Candidates: For female candidates, the valid caste certificate issued from the father's side will be considered valid.
- OBC Creamy Layer: OBC candidates falling under the creamy layer are not entitled to reservation benefits.
- Additional Quotas: Female candidates, as well as those dependent on freedom fighters and ex-servicemen, will benefit from the reservation quotas applicable in Uttar Pradesh.

When applying for positions with the Uttar Pradesh National Health Mission (UP NHM), it is essential for candidates to understand the rules regarding age verification. The Date of Birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate is the only document accepted by NHM, UP for determining age eligibility.
