UPGET Application Form 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for the UPGET 2026 must meet specific eligibility requirements regarding nationality, age, and educational qualifications. Fulfilling these conditions is mandatory for admission to the GNM programme.

Nationality

Candidates must be Indian citizens. For admission to Government GNM Training Centers/Schools, applicants must either be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh, possessing a Domicile certificate issued by a competent authority, or have passed both Class 10th and 12th (10+2) board examinations from Uttar Pradesh.

Age Limit

The minimum age for admission to the GNM programme through UPGET 2026 is 17 years. This age must be attained on or before December 31, 2026.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have passed Class 12th with English, securing a minimum of 40% in the qualifying examination and English individually from any recognized board. Candidates from State Open School (recognized by State Government) and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) (recognized by Central Government) are also eligible. Alternatively, those who passed Class 12th with English, securing 40% marks in a vocational ANM course from an Indian Nursing Council recognized school, or in vocational stream - healthcare science from a recognized CBSE board/State/Centre, are eligible. Registered ANMs with passing marks are also qualified to apply. A 5% relaxation in total marks is provided for SC/ST candidates.

UPGET Application Form 2026 Documents Required

• Caste, PwD, or EWS certificate, if applicable (Valid OBC certificate issued on or after April 1, 2026; Valid EWS certificate issued on or after April 1, 2026). Caste Certificates must be issued by the competent authority (Tehsildar/SDM) of the Uttar Pradesh Government and be verifiable online.

• Bank account details, including passbook or cancelled cheque (for refund of counselling fees, if needed).

• Credit/debit card and internet banking details for online payment.

• A valid Email ID and contact number.

• Webcam/Laptop or mobile phone with a clear camera for live photo upload.

• Dependent of Freedom Fighter certificate issued from District Magistrate, if applicable.

• Valid Ex Servicemen certificate issued from competent authority, if applicable.

• Valid NCC certificate “C certificate with grade B” issued by authorized battalion on prescribed format for NCC, if applicable.

• Experience certificate for in-service ANM candidates issued by CMO till June 15, 2026 (As per Annexure 1 in the information bulletin), if applicable.

• Domicile certificate of Uttar Pradesh, if applicable, for government GNM training centers/schools.

UPGET Application Fee 2026

• Verify your mobile number and email address using the One-Time Passwords (OTPs) received.

• Upon successful registration, you will receive a Unique Registration ID and a One-Time Login password.

• Log in to the application portal using your registration ID and password, then change your default password.

• Click on 'Fill Form' and proceed to fill in your personal information, address details, educational qualifications, and preferred test centre cities.

• Upload a live photograph using a webcam/camera, a passport-size photograph, your signature, and a scanned copy of the Verification Sheet (downloadable from the applicant dashboard).
