Subsequent Stages of IOQM

Stage 1: The first stage exam, Indian Olympiad Qualifier in Mathematics (IOQM) (formerly PRMO) is a three-hour exam with 30 questions. The answer to each question is either a one- or two-digit number and must be entered on the machine-readable OMR answer sheet. IOQM Question Paper is available in English and Hindi.
The IOQM is a written exam consisting of complex mathematical problems. It tests students' problem-solving skills, mathematical reasoning and creativity. For the purpose of training and selecting students for the Olympiad contest, several regions all over the country have been designated, each assigned a Regional Coordinator. Additionally, two groups of schools: Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNV) and Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) are also treated as separate regions and have a ‘Regional Coordinator’ each.

International Olympiad exams are not like traditional school exams. Olympiad exam questions require students to have a detailed understanding of the concepts in the solution.
