
SOF IMO Cut Off 2025-26 has been released for students who appeared in the Level 1 International Mathematics Olympiad conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF). The cut-off marks decide which students qualify for the 2nd level IMO exam scheduled in February 2026.
Here we explain the class-wise cut off marks, section-wise weightage rules, qualification criteria, exam dates, and important guidelines in a clear and student-friendly format.

SOF IMO Cut off is released class-wise from Class 3 to Class 12
Applicable for Top 5% students per class
Used to shortlist candidates for SOF IMO Level 2 (2025–26)
Tie-breaking is done using section-wise weightage
Level 2 exam dates:
8 February 2026 – Rest of India
15 February 2026 – Maharashtra
If two or more students score the same total marks, qualifiers are decided using section scores in this order:
M4 – Achievers Section
M2 – Mathematical Reasoning / Applied Mathematics
M3 – Everyday Mathematics
M1 – Logical Reasoning
This rule is strictly followed while preparing the final qualification list.

Students can also qualify for Level 2 using the following methods:
Minimum 10 students from the class must appear
Student must score 50% or more marks
Top 25 rank holders (class-wise) from each zone qualify
SOF IMO for Classes 1 and 2 is a single-level exam only
No Level 2 exam is conducted
