GPAT 2026 is a 3-hour computer-based test (CBT) with 125 MCQs worth 500 marks (+4 for correct, -1 for incorrect), covering Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, and more.

Several important guidelines must be followed by candidates before entering the examination hall for GPAT 2026. This includes preparing necessary documents and understanding items permitted or prohibited inside the venue.

Before the GPAT 2026 Exam

Candidates must carry a hard copy of the GPAT 2026 admit card, a signed undertaking, one passport-sized photograph, and a valid photo ID. Acceptable IDs include a PAN card, Driving Licence, Voter ID, Passport, Aadhaar Card (with photograph), E-Aadhaar, Ration Card, or Aadhaar Enrolment Number with Photo.

  • Photocopies of IDs, attested IDs, or scanned photos of IDs on mobile phones are not considered valid.

  • Candidates claiming relaxation under the PwD category must present a valid PwD certificate issued by a Competent Authority. They must also bring a self-declaration (undertaking) regarding their educational qualification, along with other mandatory documents.

  • Electronic devices, mobile phones, and other personal belongings are strictly prohibited inside the examination center.

  • Along with mandatory documents, candidates may only carry a personal transparent water bottle, personal hand sanitizer (50 ml), and a simple transparent Ball Point Pen into the examination hall.

  • Candidates must arrive at the GPAT exam center at the time specified on their admit card.

  • Entry will not be permitted after the gate closing time.

  • Candidates wearing customary attire should arrive early for thorough checking and mandatory frisking.

Inside the GPAT 2026 Examination Hall

  • Proper frisking will be conducted using a Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD) without physical contact before entry into the examination hall.

  • No candidate is allowed to leave the Examination Room/Hall before the exam concludes.
