GSSSB Junior Pharmacist Eligibility Criteria 2025-26
Candidates must ensure that they satisfy all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the recruitment rules and the official notification before applying. All eligibility conditions, including age and educational qualification, must be met as of the last date of application (30/12/2025).
The candidate must be a citizen of India.
The candidate's age must not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as of 30/12/2025. The maximum age limit is relaxable as per the following table (maximum 45 years in all cases):

A candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Degree:
A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy OR Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from a recognized university. OR
A Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized university, AND about two years of experience as a Junior Pharmacist in a Government, Government Undertaking, or Board, or as a Dispenser/Pharmacist/Medical Representative in a hospital/dispensary/pharmaceutical company.
Computer Knowledge: Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification (General) Rules, 1967.
Language Knowledge: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati, Hindi, or both.
Registration: The candidate must be registered with the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council at the time of appointment for direct selection, if not already registered.

Steps to Apply Online:
Visit the official OJAS website – https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in.
Select the Junior Pharmacist, Class-3 recruitment under the relevant conducting body.
Fill in the application form with basic details and save it to generate the Application Number.
Upload your photograph (5 cm x 3.6 cm) and signature (2.5 cm x 7.5 cm) in JPG format (max 15kb). The same photo and signature must be used for the written exam and all subsequent stages.
Click on "Confirm Application" on the portal using your Application Number and Birth Date. No corrections or changes can be made after the application is confirmed.
Pay the application fee online through the same portal by the last date, 02/01/2026.
Download and print the final confirmed application and the fee receipt for future reference.

The selection is based on direct recruitment through a competitive examination.
Steps/Phases:
Written Exam (MCQ-OMR / MCQ-CBRT): A competitive exam will be conducted with two parts: Part-A (60 questions) and Part-B (150 questions), for a total of 210 questions. The total time allotted is 3 hours (180 minutes). There is a negative marking of 1/4th of the mark for every wrong answer.
Minimum Qualifying Standard: Candidates must achieve a minimum of 40% marks independently in both Part-A and Part-B.
Provisional Merit List: A provisional merit list will be prepared based on the total marks/normalized marks of candidates who meet the minimum qualifying standard.
Document Verification: Approximately double the number of vacancies will be called for document verification based on the provisional merit list.
Final Selection List: The final selection and waiting lists will be prepared based on the merit of the candidates after document verification.
Fixed Pay: The initial appointment will be on a fixed salary of ₹40,800/- (Rupees Forty Thousand Eight Hundred) per month for the first five years.
Regular Pay Scale: After five years, if the service is found satisfactory, the candidate will be eligible for a regular appointment in the 7th Pay Commission pay scale of ₹29,200/- to ₹92,300/- (Level-5).
