IAF Medical Assistant Eligibility 2026 has been prescribed by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for the Airmen Group 'Y' (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade under Intake 02/2027. Candidates must satisfy the age limit, educational qualification, marital status, physical standards, and medical requirements before applying.
The online application process will be conducted from 6 July to 26 July 2026, while the online examination is scheduled for 22-23 September 2026. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions at any stage of the recruitment process will have their candidature cancelled.

Candidates applying for the Medical Assistant trade must fulfill the nationality requirements prescribed by the Indian Air Force.
Eligible candidates include:
Indian citizens
Gorkha candidates who are subjects of Nepal
Only male candidates from all States and Union Territories are eligible to apply for this recruitment.

Important: Marks are considered exactly as mentioned in the marksheet. For example, 49.99% will not be rounded off to 50%.

Candidates must meet the following physical standards.

Candidates using spectacles should carry the latest prescription issued within one month before the medical examination.
Candidates should be medically fit according to Indian Air Force standards.
Important medical conditions include:
No chronic or communicable diseases
No deformity or loss of body parts
Physically and mentally fit for service anywhere in the world
Normal anatomy
Free from skin diseases and infections
The final decision regarding medical fitness will be taken by the IAF Medical Board.
Permanent body tattoos are generally not permitted.
However, tattoos are allowed only:
On the inner side of the forearm
On the reverse side of the palm
Tribal tattoos as per customs and traditions
Obscene, offensive, racist or indecent tattoos are strictly prohibited.
Candidates should also note the following conditions:
Candidates discharged from the Indian Army, Indian Navy or Government organisations are eligible if they possess a No Adverse Entry discharge certificate.
Candidates discharged from the Indian Air Force are not eligible.
Candidates permanently debarred from previous Air Force examinations due to malpractice are not eligible.
The Indian Air Force follows a Zero Tolerance Policy against narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, alcoholism and substance abuse.
Candidates shortlisted for Phase II must qualify the Physical Fitness Test.
