KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority) has released the KCET Pharmacy Eligibility 2025. As per Rule 5(1) of the Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules 2006 (Amendments). 

Candidates must meet one of the specified eligibility conditions. Candidates not fulfilling these criteria are not eligible for KCET Pharmacy admission to professional courses under Government quota seats. For OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) and PIO (Person of Indian Origin) candidates, the eligibility for Government seats will be determined based on the Government's directions.

  • Alternatively, candidates who have passed Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, with 45% marks for GM and 40% for SC/ST, OBC candidates.

2nd Year B-Pharma (Lateral Entry)

  • Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, with 45% marks (GM) and 40% for SC/ST, OBC candidates.

Pharma-D

  • 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).

  • Alternatively, Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

Important Note: For all courses, merit will be based on performance in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in the KCET Pharmacy 2025 exam. The subject with the highest marks will be considered.

KCET Pharmacy Age Limit 2025

The minimum age requirement for candidates applying for KCET Pharmacy 2025 is as follows:

  • Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December 2025.

  • This age limit applies to candidates seeking admission to the B-Pharma, Pharma-D, and other courses.

KCET Pharmacy Nationality 2025

To apply for KCET Pharmacy 2025, candidates must meet specific nationality requirements. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for pharmacy courses. Candidates should verify eligibility based on nationality before starting their application.

KCET Kannada Language Test Eligibility 2025

Candidates seeking eligibility for Government seats under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses and whose mother tongue is Kannada, Tulu, Kodava, or Beary must undergo a Kannada language test. This test will assess their ability to speak, read, and write Kannada.

The Kannada Language Test will be held at select centres, including Belagavi, Bijapura, Mangalore, and Bengaluru. Candidates must appear at one of these test centres per the KEA schedule.
