UPSSSC Pharmacists Eligibility 2026

The eligibility is divided into three main pillars: PET qualification, educational background, and age limits.

1. Mandatory PET Qualification

• PET 2025: You must have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test 2025.

• Score Card: You must have a valid score card issued by the Commission.

• Minimum Score: Candidates with zero or negative normalized scores will not be shortlisted for the Main Exam.

2. Educational Qualification

According to the UP Pharmacist Service Rules, 1980:

• Diploma: Must hold a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.

• Registration: Must be a registered Pharmacist with the State Pharmacy Council, Uttar Pradesh.

3. Age Limit (as of the recruitment year)

• Minimum Age: 18 years.

• Maximum Age: 40 years.

• Relaxation: Upper age limit relaxation is provided for SC, ST, and other categories as per UP Government rules.

4. Preferential Qualifications (Adhimani Arhata)

These are not mandatory but give preference in case of equal marks:

• At least 2 years of service in the Territorial Army.

• An 'NCC B' Certificate.

5. Reservation Eligibility

• UP Domicile: Reservation benefits (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) are only for permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh.
