

RPF Revised Recruitment Rules 2025: The Ministry of Railways has issued the Railway Protection Force (Amendment) Rules, 2025, which bring big changes to how RPF and RPSF recruit new staff. These rules are now active after being published in the Gazette of India. From now on, SSC will conduct the RPF recruitment, just like other major police forces in India.
The RPF Revised Recruitment Rules 2025 have now been released. These new rules update the selection process for both Sub-Inspector (SI) and Constable posts to make it more fair, transparent, and similar to other national security forces. As per the new rules, candidates applying for the Constable post must be between 18 to 23 years old and should have passed Class 10, while those applying for the Sub-Inspector post must be between 20 to 28 years old and hold a graduation degree.

The Ministry of Railways has introduced new rules for RPF Recruitment 2025 to make the process fair, transparent, and in line with other national security forces. These updates focus on age limits, physical standards, and the authority responsible for administering the exam.

The age limit for RPF Constable is now 18 to 23 years (earlier it was 18 to 25 years).
The minimum height for male candidates has increased from 165 cm to 170 cm.
The chest measurement for male candidates is now 80 cm (normal) and 85 cm (expanded).
The education qualification remains the same — candidates must have passed Class 10 or an equivalent exam.
The recruitment process will now be handled by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) instead of the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB).
The medical exam will be done by CAPF Medical Officers or Grade-I Government Medical Officers to ensure fairness and uniform standards.
