For the Assistant Loco Pilot role, the first stage of the CBT consists of 75 questions from the following categories: maths, general intelligence & reasoning, general science, and general awareness on current affairs. For each incorrect answer, there is a negative marking of ⅓rd mark.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern for CBT 2
The second stage of the CBT for Assistant Loco Pilot positions consists of two steps: Part A and Part B. Part A covers four subjects, namely Mathematics, Basic Science and Engineering, General Intelligence and Reasoning. Part B focuses on questions related to the relevant trade. Similar to CBT 1, there is a negative marking of ⅓rd mark for each incorrect answer.
