RRB Group D 2025 Court Case Update: The RRB Group D exam was planned to start on 17th November 2025 and continue till 31st December 2025. However, the Delhi High Court put a stay on the exam after a contempt petition was filed (CONT.CAS(C) – 1415/2025). Later, the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) took charge of the case and told the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) not to continue with the exam until the final decision is given.
The verdict was expected on 30th October 2025, but the CAT has now postponed the hearing to 4th November 2025. This delay has left thousands of candidates waiting anxiously for the final decision on the RRB Group D Exam 2025.
More than 1 crore (10.8 million) candidates are worried about whether the exam is cancelled or postponed. But don’t worry, the exam is not canceled. It will be held soon. After the final court hearing, RRB will announce the exam dates for over 32,438 railway jobs across India.
The RRB Group D exam got delayed because of a court case about who can apply — only ITI pass candidates or also 10th pass candidates. The next court hearing will be on 4th November 2025.
Even though the case is still going on, the RRB Group D CBT exam is planned to begin on 17th November 2025. So, candidates should start preparing and keep all their documents ready.
Right now, both 10th pass and ITI pass students are allowed to apply, but the final decision will come after the court hearing. Till then, keep checking official updates for the admit card and exam details.
As per the latest update on the official RRB Bhubaneswar website, the RRB Group D CBT Exam will be held from 17th November to 12th December 2025. The detailed RRB Group D Exam Date schedule and official notice will be shared after the court verdict on 4th November 2025. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official RRB websites for updates. They should also continue preparing for the exam as it will be held soon after the decision.
The final verdict will be announced on 4th November 2025.
If the decision is in favour of both 10th and ITI candidates, the exam dates will be confirmed soon.
Candidates should keep preparing for the CBT exam, likely to start after the verdict.
Keep all documents and ID proofs ready for verification.
