4 Reasons Why Candidates Cannot Change RRB Group D Mobile Number & Email Address

Candidates are advised to correctly enter their registered mobile number and email address for the RRB Group D registration process online. These credentials cannot be changed later on. Mobile Number and Email Address acts a link between the candidate’s application and identity. 

1. Unique ID Mapping

The RRB system uses the candidate’s mobile number and email as a unique "Primary Key." One mobile number can only be linked to one registration. Changing them would disrupt the digital link between your application and your identity.

2. OTP-Based Authentication

Every login attempt, password reset, or application update requires an OTP (One-Time Password) sent to these specific contacts. If candidates lose access to the number, they effectively lose access to thier entire candidature.

3. All Official Communication

The RRB does not send physical letters. All updates regarding:

• Exam City Intimation

• Admit Card Downloads

• CBT Results & Answer Key Links

• Document Verification (DV) Dates ...will only be sent via SMS and Email.

4. Fee Refund Security

For candidates appearing in the CBT, the RRB initiates a partial fee refund (₹400 for General/OBC and ₹250 for SC/ST). The communication regarding bank detail verification or refund status is sent directly to your registered mobile number.
