Factors Affecting RRB NTPC UG Cut Off

RRB NTPC UG Cut Off CBT does not stay the same. It is helpful for candidates to know about these factors responsible for calculating the UG Cut Off marks.

  • Number of Vacancies: If there are a lot of jobs to be filled, the Cut Off marks can be lower. This is because the board needs to select a larger number of candidates. If there are fewer jobs, the competition is high, and the Cut Off will be higher.

  • Number of Candidates: When many candidates take the exam, the competition goes up. This can also make the Cut Off marks go up. If fewer candidates take the exam, the Cut Off may be lower.

  • Exam Difficulty: The level of how hard the exam paper is also changes the Cut Off. If the test is very difficult, most candidates may get lower marks. This would mean the RRB NTPC UG Cut Off CBT 1 would be lower. If the test is easy, candidates will get higher marks, and the Cut Off will be higher.

  • Normalisation of Marks: The exam is held on many different days. To make it fair for everyone, the board uses a process called normalisation. This process adjusts the raw marks so that no candidate is at a disadvantage because of their exam shift. The final RRB NTPC UG Cut Off marks are based on these normalised scores.

  • Candidate's Category: As shown in the table above, the Cut Off marks are different for each category. This is because there are reserved seats for certain groups, which often results in a lower Cut Off for those categories.
