CBSE 10th Revaluation Process 2026

Revaluation in CBSE 10th is an important process for students who are not satisfied with their CBSE Class 10th Result 2026. The CBSE provides a structured and transparent system to ensure fairness in evaluation.

The process is conducted in three stages: mark verification, obtaining a photocopy of the answer sheet, and re-evaluation of selected answers. Each stage must be applied for separately through the official CBSE portal within a limited time after the result declaration.

CBSE 10th Revaluation Process 2026 Overview

The CBSE revaluation system is a step-by-step procedure that allows students to verify their marks and request corrections if needed. It is not a single direct rechecking process but a structured chain of services.

First, students can apply for marks verification to check calculation errors. Next, they can obtain a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet to review marking. Finally, they can request re-evaluation of specific answers. Each stage has a separate application window, fee structure, and rules, so understanding the full flow is important before applying.

CBSE Marks Verification Steps 2026

CBSE marks verification is the first stage of the rechecking process. In this step, the board does not re-evaluate answers written in the exam. Instead, it focuses only on ensuring that the marks have been correctly calculated, totalled, and properly entered in the final result sheet. It helps identify clerical, totalling, or data entry errors that may affect the final score.

CBSE 10th Result 2026 Re-evaluation and Rechecking Process

Step 1: Check Total Marks Calculation

The first check involves verifying whether all awarded marks from each question have been correctly added. This ensures there are no mistakes in summing up section-wise or question-wise marks.

Step 2: Verify Answer Entry and Posting

CBSE checks whether all answers attempted by the student have been properly recorded and whether marks have been correctly posted against each response in the final result.

Step 3: Identify Missing or Unmarked Entries

In this step, the board verifies if any answered questions were left unchecked or if any marks were not awarded due to oversight during result preparation.

Step 4: Correct Clerical or Data Errors (If Found)

If any discrepancy, such as totalling mistakes, missing marks, or entry errors, is found, CBSE corrects it and updates the final result accordingly.

CBSE Photocopy of Answer Sheet Process

After the marks verification, students can apply to receive a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet. This step is important before moving to re-evaluation, as it helps students make informed decisions.

This stage allows students to:

  • View evaluated answer sheets

  • Understand step-wise marking

  • Identify possible evaluation mistakes

CBSE Re-evaluation Procedure for Class 10

The final stage is re-evaluation, where students can request CBSE to recheck specific answers. Only selected questions can be challenged, and the evaluation is done again by appointed examiners.

Important points:

  • Only specific answers can be reviewed

  • Marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged

  • Final revised marks are considered binding

Students should carefully review their answer sheet before applying for this stage.

How to Apply for CBSE Rechecking Class 10

The application process is fully online and must be completed through the official CBSE portal.

  • Visit the CBSE revaluation portal

  • Log in using roll number and school details

  • Select verification, photocopy, or re-evaluation

  • Choose subjects carefully

  • Pay the required fee online

  • Submit the application and download the confirmation

CBSE Rechecking Fees Class 10

CBSE follows a fixed, stage-wise fee structure for Class 10 rechecking and revaluation. Each service has a separate cost, and students must pay online for each stage individually through the official CBSE portal after the results are declared.

  • Verification of Marks (Rechecking): ₹500 per subject
This stage checks only calculation, totaling, and entry errors in the result. It does not include an answer sheet review.

  • Photocopy of Answer Sheet: ₹500 per subject/answer book
Students receive a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet to understand how marks were awarded.

  • Revaluation: ₹100 per question
Selected answers are rechecked by CBSE examiners, and marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged.

CBSE 10th Revaluation Last Date 2026

The CBSE revaluation process is strictly time-bound. After the declaration of Class 10 results, CBSE opens a short application window for verification, photocopy, and re-evaluation.

Students must apply within this official deadline because:

  • No late applications are accepted

  • Each stage has its own closing date

  • Missing one stage stops the student from moving to the next step
