CBSE Board Exam 2026 New Rule: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has told all its schools not to send transfer certificates (TCs) for counter-signing to the main or regional offices. According to reports, CBSE had already stopped the rule that required TCs to be signed again when students moved between CBSE schools.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again told all its affiliated schools not to send any requests for countersignature of transfer certificates (TCs) to the headquarters or regional offices. According to officials, this rule has been in place for some time, as the Board had already ended the requirement of countersignatures between CBSE-affiliated schools.
CBSE officials said that even after the earlier notification, many schools were still sending TCs to regional offices for countersignature. This has caused unnecessary delays and confusion for students and schools. CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj stated that not following this rule creates inconvenience for stakeholders and goes against the digital process CBSE is promoting.
CBSE has released the Class 10 and Class 12 board exam dates on its official website. Students who want to check the CBSE timetable 2026 can now download it online. The date sheet includes all exam-related details for both classes.

With CBSE’s new rule, students and schools no longer need a countersignature on transfer certificates. This makes the transfer process faster and easier between CBSE-affiliated schools.
Here’s what parents, students, and school administrators should do to follow the new rule correctly.
For Students and Parents:
Contact the new CBSE school where admission is planned.
Ask if they accept the transfer certificate (TC) without a countersignature.
Check how they want to verify it — by uploading a scanned copy, submitting it online, or verifying it through the school portal.
For School Administrators:
Stop sending requests for countersignatures to CBSE.
Upload scanned copies of transfer certificates on your school’s portal as per CBSE rules.
Make sure both the old and new schools communicate clearly about accepting TCs without a countersignature.
