Students are allowed to carry only specific approved items inside the examination hall. These items are strictly limited to ensure a smooth and fair examination process.

  • Every student must carry their original Admit Card issued by CBSE.

  • Regular students must bring their School Identity Card, while private candidates must carry a valid government-issued photo ID.

  • Students are allowed to carry blue or royal blue ballpoint or gel pens for writing their answers.

  • Basic stationery items such as a pencil, eraser, sharpener, and scale are permitted.

  • All stationery must be kept inside a transparent pouch or transparent geometry box.

  • Students may wear an analogue wristwatch to track time during the examination.

  • A transparent water bottle is allowed for hydration.

CBSE Board Exam Day 2026 Checklist: Strictly Prohibited Items

CBSE has clearly stated that certain items are completely banned inside the exam hall. Carrying any of these items, even accidentally, may result in action under Unfair Means (UFM) rules.

  • Students must not carry mobile phones, even if they are switched off.

  • Smartwatches, digital watches, health bands, and Bluetooth devices are strictly prohibited.

  • Earphones, microphones, or any communication devices are not allowed.

  • Calculators are not permitted unless officially approved for specific learning disabilities.

  • Written notes, bits of paper, or any textual material must not be brought inside.

  • Wallets, handbags, goggles, and electronic gadgets are not allowed.

  • Food items are prohibited, except in the case of diabetic students with prior permission.

CBSE Exam Day 2026 Checklist: Security Measures and Dress Code

CBSE has strengthened security arrangements at all examination centres. Students must cooperate fully with authorities to ensure a disciplined environment.

  • All students will undergo compulsory physical frisking before entering the exam hall.

  • Examination rooms will be monitored through CCTV surveillance.

  • Regular students must wear their complete school uniform.

  • Private candidates are required to wear light and simple clothing without heavy accessories.
