What are exam timings for CBSE Board Exams 2026?

The exams will be conducted in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Students must reach the examination centre before 10 AM, as late entry is not allowed.

What is the new CBSE Class 10 exam pattern for 2026?

As per the revised pattern, 50 percent of the questions will be competency based. Around 20 percent will be objective or select response type questions, and 30 percent will be descriptive or constructed response questions.

Is it mandatory to appear in the first phase of Class 10 Board Exam?

Yes, appearing in the first board exam is compulsory. The second phase is mainly for improvement and compartment cases. Students who miss multiple subjects in the first attempt may not be eligible for the second phase.
