Section-Wise Breakdown: What Students Should Know?

The Biology paper was divided into five sections, and each section had a different type of question.

Section A (MCQs – 16 Marks)

Section A had multiple-choice questions. Most of these questions were simple and directly based on NCERT. Students who revised the textbook properly found this section easy. However, a few questions had tricky options, which required careful reading before choosing the correct answer.

Section B (Very Short Answer – 10 Marks)

This section included very short answer questions. These questions were simple and based on basic concepts. Students could answer them quickly if they had clear understanding of topics like hormones, reproduction, and genetics. This section helped students score easy marks.

Section C (Short Answer – 21 Marks)

Section C required students to write short answers with proper explanation. This section was moderate in difficulty because students needed to explain concepts clearly. Questions were asked from important chapters, and students had to write answers in a structured way.

Section D (Long Answer – 28 Marks)

Section D was the most important and time-consuming part of the paper. Students had to write long answers with detailed explanation. Many questions required diagrams, which took extra time. Students who practiced diagrams earlier found it easier to complete this section.

Section E (Case-Based – 15 Marks)

This section included case-based questions. Students had to read a paragraph and answer questions based on it. These questions tested understanding and thinking ability. Some students found this section a bit difficult because it required careful reading and analysis.

Preparation Lessons for Future Boards

Students preparing for future board exams can learn from this paper. First, they should study NCERT properly, as most questions come from it. Second, they should practice diagrams regularly, as diagrams carry marks and take time.

Students should also solve previous year question papers to understand the exam pattern. Time management is very important, so students should practice solving papers within the time limit. They should focus more on important chapters like Genetics, Reproduction, Ecology, and Biotechnology.

Practicing case-based questions is also helpful because such questions test understanding. Regular revision and practice can help students perform better in the exam.
